Easy Decadent Homemade Oatmeal

Once you make this oatmeal, you will NEVER buy the microwave packets again. With less than 10 minutes and a few ingredients, you will be enjoying this mouthwatering oatmeal!

INGREDIENTS: Serves 2

  1. 1 cup oats

  2. 1 cup plant milk (I like vanilla flax milk)

  3. 1 cup water

  4. 1 small apple

  5. 2 tbs brown sugar

  6. 1 tbs chia seeds

  7. 1/2 tbs vegan butter

  8. 1/4 cup apple cider or apple juice

  9. 1 banana

  10. 1 tbs peanut butter

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan

  2. Peel and chop apple into small pieces

  3. Add apple and juice/cider to melted butter

  4. Cook on low heat until apples start to become tender.

  5. While apples are cooking, add milk, water, and chia seeds in bowl or glass measuring cup, stir.

  6. When apples are tender, pour in the milk, water, and chia seed mixture.

  7. Add oatmeal and 1 tbs of the brown sugar to the pan and stir.

  8. Bring to a bubble, then reduce heat to low. Cook for 3-5 minutes.

  9. Once done cooking, spoon into bowls and add apples, the remaining brown sugar, sliced bananas and drizzle of peanut butter.

  10. ENJOY!!
