Meet Kristin

     I'm a mom to three beautiful children, a wife to an amazing husband, and an absolute foodie. I love to spend time in my kitchen cooking exceptional food and sharing my recipes with the world. I want people to experience the amazing world of plant-based foods, without the stereotypes.  Food should spark your creativity, it should be fun, and most of all, it should be delicious!

Background   

 I was the kid on the playground kicking the boys for pulling the legs off of grasshoppers and bringing home all sorts of injured creatures to nurse back to health.  I spent hours strategically placing rocks along the sidewalk to make little islands for the ants to escape from the flooding caused by sprinklers. Saving living things has been part of who I am since I was little. 

​     Fast forward through the awkward teenage years, two failed attempts at college, a wedding, and three kids.  I was overweight and suffering from acne and anxiety. I tried fad diets that lasted mere hours or days, but nothing ever stuck. It wasn’t until food became about something other than myself or my weight. I discovered a strong compassion within when I witnessed what happened to my food before it became “food”.

     I decided to go vegan for ethical reasons and it blossomed into so much more.  My health, my lifestyle, and my purpose. My only regret is not doing it sooner!  

  I was terrible in the kitchen before I learned how to cook with passion. My family used to pretend to enjoy their horrendously over salted chicken and slather their burgers in sauce to cover up the obvious burnt layer. I honestly don’t know how they did it for so long. I never enjoyed cooking and it was always an obligation. Once I discovered this colorful world of plants that were beautiful, nutritious, and so much fun to cook, my kitchen became my happy place where I could use my creativity and indulge in my love of food.
